Background[]

"Watashi no R" is an original song by Kurage-P featuring Hatsune Miku, made in celebration of her 8th birthday. It is featured as the opening track to the album Watashi no Miseinen Kansoku. The song itself has a bit of a sequel on the same album, the title track "Watashi no Miseinen Kansoku", which partly shows the events of the song from the perspective of "Kansoku's" protagonist.

The song is about a girl trying to talk herself out of the various reasons why she wants to commit suicide. Everyday, she goes to the rooftop, but always sees someone trying to commit suicide. On the day she wants to commit suicide, she is all alone.

Even though Kurage-P does not offer the official meaning of "R", he states that the correct answer comes in the Japanese comments on the Niconico upload. Two common words are "Reason" and "Rooftop". It is most likely the former.

This song has entered the Hall of Legend.
